Littlejohn's Produce is a unique produce market and nursery garden center owned and operated by Mark, Sherri and Lyndsi Littlejohn. Mark, with over 30 years of farming experience, has been farming peanuts and raising cattle since he was a little boy. About eight years ago they added watermelons, cantaloupes, tomatoes and many other vegetables to their operation. And as time passed and their produce grew, word of mouth traveled about the Littlejohn family and their products.
Littlejohn's watermelons are now in such high demand that they are shipped
all across the United States. The Littlejohn family lives and raises their
crops in Gustine,
Texas;
the produce is raised in the fields by transplants in black plastic mulch
and in greenhouses. When in season the crops are picked and brought in fresh
daily. |

In March of 2000, Sherri decided to bring their produce to Stephenville where they opened up a small market in the gas station across from Jake and Dorothy's. A year later they moved over to the present location at 513 Lingleville Road and built the open-air market. They opened May 10, 2001. By 2002 they had expanded the building, put up a greenhouse for a nursery and started butchering and selling their own beef. They
stocked their nursery with trees, shrubs, flowers and bedding plants as well
as organic mulches, fertilizers, and soils.
